HAMPTON DOWNS’ brand-new event designed to take speed off New Zealand streets is building towards a spectacular launch this weekend.

Street to Track will be held this Sunday, 22 March and is designed specifically for car enthusiasts – offering a legal, controlled and fully immersive environment for motoring and motorsport fans to experience everything they love about the car scene.

The best thing is it comes without the risk of fines, demerits, impounded vehicles or injury to participants or bystanders.

Rather than meeting on the roads or in carparks, motoring enthusiasts will bring their high-performance machines to a safe and controlled environment to enjoy their full potential in the safest possible way.

The event is another part of Hampton Downs’ commitment to make New Zealand roads safer.

Street to Track - which will include the appearance of New Zealand Motorsport legends Greg Murphy and Andrew Waite to lend their expertise and tips - will feature Roll Racing, burnouts, grip sessions and a cruise of the Hampton Downs circuit.

There’ll also be food, music and a vibe like a full-on car meet with likeminded enthusiasts.

Participation entries are sold out, while spectators can attend for just $10.00 with tickets available at the gate.
