Street to Track – Take It Off the Street
Give your car the space it deserves, because car culture should be enjoyed!
Street to Track is Hampton Down's new event designed specifically for car enthusiasts, offering a legal, controlled, and fully immersive environment to experience everything you love about the Car Scene, without the risk of fines, demerits, or impounded vehicles or loss of life.
Instead of meeting in carparks, cul-de-sacs, or industrial areas, participants can now enjoy roll racing, burnouts, grip sessions and track cruise on purpose-built facilities all for a low price. This is about keeping the adrenaline, the vibe, and the community alive, but in the right place.
At Hampton Downs, we care about road safety. That’s why we’re committed to keeping this event low-cost, making track experiences more accessible for everyone – because we know getting on track can get expensive!
Why Hampton Downs Street to Track Matters
Illegal street racing is a reality on New Zealand roads, with potentially thousands in fines, demerit points, and impounded vehicles at risk, not to mention the serious safety risks to drivers, passengers, and the public. Hampton Downs Street to Track isn’t about stopping car culture, it’s about giving it the space it deserves.
You can get involved in the action:
All for $79.00 - this includes access to all track activities for the afternoon.
Enjoy music, food, and the full car meet vibe!

Hampton Downs Street to Track is more than just a car event, it’s part of our ongoing mission to make New Zealand roads safer.
Illegal street activity is a reality, and ignoring it doesn’t solve the problem. Street to Track gives drivers a safe, legal, and exciting alternative to push their love for cars on the track.
This event sits alongside our broader road safety initiatives, including The Hampton Down's Drive Safe Advantage and Street Smart driven by the Tony Quinn Foundation. These programmes reflect a long-term commitment to improving driver behaviour and reducing harm on our roads.
We care about the car culture. We care about young drivers. We care about New Zealand roads. Most importantly, we care about lives.
Street to Track is not a one-off event, it’s part of Hampton Downs’ sustained effort to make a real difference.

Hampton Downs Street to Track isn’t just for drivers, it’s for the whole car culture community.
Whether you’re behind the wheel, riding passenger, filming content, or just soaking up the atmosphere, this is a proper car meet experience at Hampton Downs Motorsport Park.
