DAYTIME SESSIONS

INFORMATION FOR CARS

Time: 9am – 4.30pm

Gates open at 8am - Please leave trailers well away from the Pit area as we will need all of pit lane for cars entered in the event.

Documentation: from 8am - 8.45am
This will be in the Control Tower located on the edge of Pit Lane.
Drivers Briefing is at 9am
Includes a roll call, to go on the track you must attend the briefing. If you are late there will be another briefing at lunch time.

Indemnity form: Please click on this link. Please bring your driver’s license as this is required for ID for all drivers and passengers.  

Time on track: 15 minute sessions.

Classes: A combination of cars that will be grouped by speed. Please note that open wheeler race cars are not eligible but are catered for in race car only test days.

Safety gear: Overalls (ie clean 100% cotton or race overalls),, helmets and enclosed shoes. It is also for hire on the day for $50 (or $30 to hire separately). We will have a range of Vortex Track Day suit sizes available for purchase at $180 per suit.

Passengers: You are allowed up to 3 passengers in cars with a Motorsport approved roll cage & a 4, 5 or 6 point Harness. The only exception is on the familiarization laps. Passengers require the same safety gear as above. Any additional passengers are $30 each. You declare that you are not receiving any financial gain or reward for your passengers for this event.

Fuel: The closest 98 is at Mobil Mercer 8 minutes North of Hampton Downs.

Cost: Pre-registration at www.hdticketing.co.nz is essential as these events book out.

Cost for Cars - $135 per car and you must pre-register.
Cost for Prestige Group - It is $230 per car and this group is limited to 10 high end cars. There can be no racing cars, no slick tyres and if you are covered by Prestigio Insurance you could be covered for track day insurance (please check with Prestigio Insurance prior to the event).

What if I have paid and can't go?
Please note entries are not transferrable; however you are welcome to find another person to take your place. We cannot give refunds but if you let us early enough we will try to sell your place. If we can sell your place we will refund you.

What if it rains?
The event will continue rain, hail or shine.

Conditions: This is a non-drift day. All entrants are strictly supervised throughout the day to ensure there is no overzealous driving. Management reserves the right to refuse or revoke any entrant at anytime.

Car Preparation Hints
In the past there have been a few off’s where people said they ran out of brakes. In each case I asked them when they last replaced their brake fluid & in every case the answer was the same. “Don’t know, I only got the car a month ago”.
Good brakes & quality brake fluid are essential on a race track so please check your brakes & the other items to be ticked off by you on the indemnity form and ensure everything is up to standard.
We recommend changing the fluid in the calipers at least every 2 track days & would never run a car that has fluid more than a few months old.

RULES FOR OPEN CARS
All open cars (i.e. soft top convertibles) must have roll protection, either factory fitted such as: Boxter, S2000, Z3, Z4, 350z, 370z & Elise etc. or suitable aftermarket roll protection if it is not Factory fitted.

TWILIGHT SESSIONS (during daylight saving)

Numbers are limited at each event so book early or risk just being a spectator.

Time: 4.30pm – 7.30PM

Gates open at 4pm - Please leave trailers well away from the Pit area as we will need all of pit lane for cars entered in the event.
