Motorsport NZ Trust

MotorSport is a hugely competitive and expensive activity, throughout the world there are many Kiwis competing in various classes with some great successes. Scott Dixon, Matt Halliday & Johnny Reid, Greg Murphy, Fabian Coulthard, Paul Raddasich, Craig Beard, Chris Pither, Wade Cunningham, Brendon Hartley & Chris Vander drift. There are many more competing in other classes and are looking to follow in the footsteps of other internationally famous Kiwi Drivers like Bruce McLaren, Denny Hulme, Chris Amon & Kenny Smith. The NZMST was formed to provide a charitable trust body to identify young NZ MotorSport talent with the ability to make it internationally and to approach funding organisations to assist with raising the level of expenses required. The NZMST because of its Charitable Trust status is able to offer unique tax advantages to companies.

Previous recipients of trust funding have included Chris Pither, Nelson & Brendon Hartley, Joshua Hart, Jonathan Lester, Andy Knight, Cushla Whetton, Ryan Bailey, Matt Gibson, Sam McNeil, Ben Harford & Dominic Storey.

The NZMST assists with the development of MotorSport participants at both a driver and engineer level by providing an opportunity to run with a competitive well funded team. A mentoring program will be established to provide guidance, support and specialist knowledge.

The participants must be of NZ citizenship, 16 to 23 years of age & competing in a MSNZ Championship. The participants will be invited to submit an application to drive in or engineer in the national championship.
